In addition, there could also be circumstances due to branding, appearance, behavior, or functionality where it does warrant different executable versions.
To that end, Sun Microsystems and Orange have teamed up to create an initial set of design guidelines to help developers fight this problem. These guidelines consist of a number of techniques to reduce the number of executables generated per application. ”
