Alcatel-Lucent, the world’s third largest wireless services company, is all set to manufacture Wi-MAX enabled phones in India by the end of this year. Experts say Wi-MAX technology is 30 times faster than third generation mobile tech! nology, allows high-speed voice and data transfers as well as better connectivity.
The company may tie-up with a mobile operator to provide the service. This model will be similar to the Reliance-LG mobile phones, where LG was manufacturing phones for Reliance.
