The ubiquitous cell phone is now serving as the bow to shoot Cupid’s arrows for young techies of Bangalore, a study by a US research scholar suggests on this St Valentine’s Day.
The study, released on February 12, says there are several instances where mobile phones played a role in romance and nuptial bonds. Moreover, mobile phones are also being utilised to facilitate arranged marriages.
For scores of information technology workers going to or coming from their offices, the mobile network provides a much-needed space to be in touch with their loved ones. Many a times the long distance cell connections lead to romantic courtship blossoming into marriage.
