Offered in India by Airtel over the past two years through an exclusive contract, BlackBerry is currently being offered by Hutch as well. Reliance Telecom is also considering launching it. The exclusivity agreement between BlackBerry makers Research In Motion (RIM) and Airtel expired late last year.
There are two equally arresting BlackBerry ad commercials on air from Airtel and Hutch. Airtel’s commercial portrays the latest BlackBerry smart phone, BlackBerry Pearl. This model was launched recently by RIM, worldwide and in India.
