Green Packet Berhad ( Green Packet) a leading developer of next generation mobile broadband and networking solutions, launched Infinit Services Management Platform (ISMP) at the 2009 AppsXchange Asia conference in Hongkong. ISMP enables Operators to start their own application store at a cost efficient rate and a faster time to market.
Though Application stores are a huge source of revenue nowadays, the operators involved do not get their fair share of revenue. Greenpacket advocates that Operators should launch their own application store and increase ARPU from the sale of applications. An application store is an ideal way for Operators to differentiate from their competitors while meeting subscribers’ demand for innovative services.
So how does ISMP help the operators?
- It is designed to leverage on an Operator’s existing resources such as Billing and CRM systems and thus helps an Operator to launch an application store in a very short period of time. Operators can reach out to all subscribers as it works with multiple end-user devices and operating systems.
- By utilizing available CRM data, it recommends relevant applications to subscribers based on their lifestyle pattern and purchasing behaviour.
- The payment for these applications is consolidated into the monthly bill of a subscriber. This means subscribers can purchase applications in a secure environment without using their credit cards online.
- It enables Operators to host and manage all services and applications, both existing (for example, website or application portal) and new, from one focal point. This means now subscribers can indulge in cool applications or utilize the Operator’s self-care services from a single interface.
- It is network independent and can be adopted by any Operator.
Apart from these, it also provides Content developers with a centralized system to access development kits and submit or obtain approvals for their applications.
