According to a recent forecast by Cisco Systems’, by 2016 there would be 10 billion mobile connected devices on earth.
As compared to $114 billion in 2011, in 2012, consumers will spend approximately $2.1 billion on mobile technology, which includes mobile services, apps and products such as Smartphone, Tablet and more tech devices. Mobile services will account for about 37% of the overall mobile spending by users. The spend on mobile phone alone will account for 10% (or $22 billion) of overall mobile spending in 2012 and will grow to $300 billion by 2016.
