LG has officially announced the LG Optimus Vu II phablet. The LG Optimus Vu II, runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor.
It has a 5-inch IPS display with a 1024×768 pixels resolution and an unusual aspect ratio of 4:3. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor, auto focus and LED flash and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. LG Optimus Vu II also has a 2150mAh battery, 3 GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in memory, micro SD card slot. Besides these, it is equipped with all the prime connectivity features including LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, WiFi direct, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI and NFC capability.
It comes pre-loaded with applications like Q Remote which can be used to control home appliances, Q Memo, Q Translator which recognizes 44 languages with OCR through the camera lens, Q Slide for easier multitasking and an upgraded Rubberdium Pen 2.0 stylus which has a thinner tip.
LG has also announced a couple of interesting accessories along with this new device. These include a wireless charging pad and a waterproof One Key remote. The One Key remote will help users to find their device at a mere touch of a button and its multicolour LED flashes to show calls, messages, charging status and other alerts.
It is available in three colour options – Black, Illusion White and Illusion Pink. Priced at approximately $864, initially it will go up for sale in Korea.
