Huawei Showcases Portfolio of Mobile Wi-Fi Products at GSMA 2012

At the GSMA Mobile Asia Expo 2012, today  Huawei showcased its portfolio of Mobile Wi-Fi products including seven products

offering a range of PA+ 21Mbps download speed to LTE Cat4 150Mbps download speed. The showcase includes the Huawei Mobile WiFi E5331, which was awarded the Red Dot Design Award in Germany and is the only product in the mobile Wi-Fi category that was recognized among 4,500 participating designs.

The E5331 - a new-generation Mobile Wi-Fi from Huawei features a stylish horizontal design. The first for products in its category, the E5331 is only 12.8mm thick and goes perfectly with ultra-thin electronic products. Consumers can now connect to the internet with the touch of just one button and enjoy a peak download speed of 21 Mbps.

The other product on display is the new Mobile Wi-Fi E5151 which has an Ethernet port that supports both Ethernet and 3G networks. It allows consumers to choose between using fixed-line broadband or a wireless broadband network. The E5151 supports connection speed of up to PA+ 21 Mbps and will be commercially available in September this year.

With the growing number of Wi-Fi-enabled devices such as tablets, laptops, hand-held games and digital cameras, mobile Wi-Fi products that support cellular wireless network sharing is increasing in popularity. According to the latest market research report from ABI Research, Huawei is the market leader with a 59.3% share of the Mobile Wi-Fi market.
